Guided Trips
We offer guided fly fishing trips year round. Depending on the time of the year, these will vary between stocked and wild trout. There are three different guides who offer these trips, and you can find out more about them under "The Guides" tab under Guided Trips. You are welcome to request a specific guide, but due to schedules it is not always guaranteed they will be available for the time you need them. However, we will do the best we can to place you with the guide you request. Additionally, each guide has different skills they are stronger at, and that may impact the guide you are given. If you are specifically wanting to learn how to Euro Nymph, TC is our best guide for that. If you are wanting a drift boat experience, Noah is the preferred option in that regard. Then if you are wanting to learn more about streamers and native brook fishing, myself is the best option there. Each guide is capable of doing all methods, but naturally we all have tactics we prefer. You just tell us what type of trip/experience you are wanting, and we'll do everything we can to put you into a position to succeed.
All trips will include the following: Fly Rods, Flies, Drinking Water, Medical Bag, and any equipment/materials that are necessary on the water. Each client will be allowed to use their own fly rod if they choose to, but rods/reels/flies will be provided. For full day trips, lunch will also be provided.
What is not included: North Carolina Fishing License (You will be expected to arrive with a license), Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Hat, Rain Jackets, and Sunglasses. Waders are not required, but they are highly encouraged anytime during cold-moderate weather.
What are you expected to bring? A valid North Carolina fishing license for trout and appropriate clothing. Appropriate clothing will vary based on the weather and will be discussed prior to the trip.

Half Day: Wade Trip
DISCOUNTED RATE (Normally $175, now $150 for a limited time)
This will be approximately a 4 hour, wade fishing trip. These trips will be done on both stocked and wild water. The water will vary based on the client's wishes, the weather conditions, and which waters are available to fish on that day.
$150- One Person
$250- Two People
Full Day: Wade Trip
DISCOUNTED RATE (Normally $275, now $225 for a limited time)
This will be approximately an 8 hour, wade fishing trip. These trips will be done on both stocked and wild water. The water will vary based on the client's wishes, the weather conditions, and which waters are available to fish on that day. Lunch will be provided for a full day trips.
$225- One Person
$325- Two People
Half Day: Float Trip
DISCOUNTED RATE (Normally $400, now $350 for a limited time)
This will be approximately a 4 hour float trip. These are done on local WNC rivers that are large enough to float, as well as the Watauga Tailwater in Tennessee. On these trips, lifejackets will be provided, as well as fly rods, flies and various other fly fishing equipment. A Tennessee fishing license is not included on these trips, you will be expected to arrive with one already purchased.
$350- One or Two People
Full Day: Float Trip
DISCOUNTED RATE (Normally $500, now $400 for a limited time)
This will be approximately a 8 hour float trip. These are done on local WNC rivers that are large enough to float, as well as the Watauga Tailwater in Tennessee. On these trips, lifejackets will be provided, as well as fly rods, flies and various other fly fishing equipment. A Tennessee fishing license is not included on these trips, you will be expected to arrive with one already purchased. Lunch will be provided on full day float trips.
$400- One or Two People
Fishing Buddy Trip:
This is a unique trip, not offered by most services. This trip is designed for those who have their own gear, are able to provide their own flies, own fly rods and are content tying their own rigs. On this trip, both of us will be fishing. You will get the opportunity to watch how I approach holes, my style, and various other aspects of fishing with someone. Additionally, I will provide you with support and verbal instruction as necessary. Lunch will be provided on full day trips. If you are someone who wants to fish with a guide, but doesn't want to pay the full guide price, this is the trip for you. Currently I am limiting this to one person. (Ryan Only)
